North Las Vegas police reported the arrest of a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting on Interstate 15. The investigation began last Sunday morning when Nevada State Police found a man inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. They requested assistance from North Las Vegas Police at 7:16 a.m., as reported by 8 News Now.

Police arrested Joseph De Luna, 28, on southbound I-15, just north of Cheyenne Avenue. Authorities stated that De Luna was inside the vehicle during the incident and made the initial 911 call. He remained at the scene and was taken into custody. He was charged with open murder with a deadly weapon, according to 8 News Now.

De Luna was arrested and booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center. The southbound lanes of I-15 near Cheyenne Avenue and Craig Road, which were temporarily closed for the investigation, have reopened, as per KTNV.
