Chaos unfolded on Wednesday at the Birnam Wood Food Store when deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were summoned to address a disturbance caused by a suspect familiar with the law for all the wrong reasons. At the scene in the 4500 block of Treaschwig Road, the cashier reported to deputies that John Patrick Brown had fled after engaging in an altercation, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Not far from the site of the incident, deputies managed to track down Brown, whose presence at the Birnam Wood Food Store had already been deemed unwelcome, evidenced by a prior criminal trespass warning exclusive to this location. According to Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Facebook page, after Brown arrived at the store, he took it upon himself to use a rock to break the cashier's vehicle windows, a senseless act resulting in over $1,500.00 in damages.
In an attempt to intervene and protect his property, the cashier confronted Brown only to receive a punch in the face, an assault that left him in pain. "Patrick Brown was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Assault and Criminal Mischief. His total bond was set at $200.00 out of County Court 1," Harris County Constable Precinct 4 reported. The quick action by the deputies brought a prompt end to the episode, reflecting their commitment to maintaining order and public safety.
