According to Denver7, Wheat Ridge police confirmed the fatality and also reported that a toddler, involved in the incident, was rushed to the hospital but is expected to recover.
In what appears to be a severe case of irresponsible driving, local authorities detained one individual on suspicion of drunken driving. It was suggested that the suspect may have been navigating the vehicle on the wrong side of the interstate when the collision occurred, as reported by The Denver Post.
