Following a response to an assault call at the Ramada Inn on Auburn Boulevard, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of 26-year-old Alfred Walker on charges of human trafficking and pimping a 17-year-old girl. The incident, which led to a larger investigation, came to light when deputies learned the victim had been trafficked and forced into sex work. According to a recent Facebook post by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation uncovered that Walker used violence and threats to coerce the victim into prostitution, including pointing a handgun at her and threatening to harm her family.
Walker's control over the victim was further underscored by his roles in arranging sexual encounters and retaining all earnings. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office disclosed that the victim was driven to various cities to perform commercial sex acts. Walker's apprehension came after an intensive manhunt across Sacramento County, which culminated on Thursday near Fruitridge Road, where detectives detained him. In the car, a loaded 1911 handgun and approximately 32 grams of what appeared to be methamphetamine were found.
Scheduled for a court appearance tomorrow, Walker faces numerous felony charges and is being held without bail at the Sacramento County Main Jail. The severity of his crimes is underscored by an unrelated felony arrest warrant for domestic violence, coupled with the current circumstances of the case. Detectives have reason to believe there are more victims yet to come forward and have encouraged anyone with information to contact the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers.
