The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of two more suspects connected to the theft of two English bulldog puppies from Perfect Pets. According to a social media post from Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, Jonathan Muniz, 32, was taken into custody after investigators tracked him down at a residence in Denver on February 28. "Deputies say Muniz is the suspect who stole the two English bulldog puppies from their enclosure at Perfect Pets on February 21 and tried to carry them out of the store but tripped and fell, dropping the puppies," as stated by Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office. Muniz, who after tumbling allegedly picked up the puppies again and fled in a gold Cadillac Escalade, is now facing multiple charges including robbery, theft, animal cruelty, and more.
Further details were shared about a second individual, Porfiria Tacorante, 34, the reported owner of the getaway vehicle. Having turned herself in at the Arapahoe County Detention Facility on Wednesday, Tacorante faced charges of theft and conspiracy to commit theft. While the investigation has led to arrests, the whereabouts of the second stolen English bulldog puppy remain unknown.
