According to the City of Suwanee, the city won a Silver for Best Merchandise for its "Parker" Doggie Bag Dispensers and another Silver for the Community Food Fight's promotional poster. The city also received Silver for Best Event Photograph for an image of the Town Center on Main & DeLay Nature Park's grand opening. The Suwanee Public Works Department earned a Silver for Best Event Impact Support. Additionally, Suwanee Fest and the Town Center on Main & DeLay Nature Park Grand Opening received Bronze awards for Best Event Over $75,000 and Best Pop-Up Event, respectively.

Events & Outreach Manager Amy Doherty expressed pride in the city's success, noting the collaborative effort involved. With over 200 entries from six states, Suwanee's recognition was a significant honor. She credited the creativity, dedication, and passion of the city's team, volunteers, and community members.

This year’s SFEA awards held extra meaning, as event organizers faced challenges such as limited budgets and severe weather. A panel of industry experts judged each submission based on originality, creativity, media impact, and community influence. Lindsey Shaffer, the outgoing SFEA Board Chair, emphasized that the awards recognize exceptional work that inspires the events industry to strive for innovation and quality.
