Following a recent narcotics investigation in Tampa, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of eleven individuals on drug and firearm charges. The arrests occurred last Thursday, when deputies executed a search warrant on Palm River Road and encountered multiple suspects in possession of a significant quantity of illegal drugs and stolen firearms.
A social media post from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detailed the bust, reporting the seizure of over 115 grams of fentanyl in both liquid and powdered form, and about 29 grams of cocaine during the operation; the post did not clarify the stages of the operation or how deputies initially came to suspect the residence, but the Sheriff's Office emphasized the impact these arrests would have on local drug trafficking.
Sheriff Chad Chronister was quoted in the announcement on the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Facebook post, highlighting the significance of the arrests: "These arrests are a direct hit to the criminals who profit from addiction and violence in our community," said Chronister, "By taking these offenders off the streets, we've not only disrupted a drug trafficking operation but also prevented further harm."
