The accident occurred at the intersection of Lake Michigan Drive and Ferndale Avenue NW around 9:50 p.m. last night, with emergency services rushing the victim to the hospital due to the gravity of the injuries sustained.
According to details released by WOOD TV8, the pedestrian was struck while crossing the road, and the vehicle involved was traveling west on Lake Michigan Drive at the time of the collision. In a separate statement obtained by WZZM 13, Walker Police Captain Andy Veen noted that following the initial crash, while the vehicle was pulled over to check on the pedestrian, another vehicle subsequently collided with the stopped car.
