Orlando Police Department arrested Damian B. Burden, a 17-year-old, in connection with a shooting that led to the death of 26-year-old Jared A. Kinloch. This incident took place last Sunday during what was described as a drug transaction. Responding to the scene at 5200 North Orange Blossom Trail, police discovered Kinloch suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle alongside a woman who, during an interview, mentioned the drug deal context, ClickOrlando reported.
After being transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, Kinloch was pronounced dead. The teenage Burden now faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder with a firearm, attempted robbery with a firearm, and grand theft auto — among other charges related to his conduct amidst the arrest process, which includes resisting without violence and driving without a valid license.
Police have not yet released further specifics about the sequence of events during the alleged drug transaction that led to the tragic loss of Kinloch, and FOX 35 Orlando continues efforts to uncover what transpired that fateful night when substances, commerce, and violence fatally intersected.
