The Columbus Division of Police has recently reported the arrest of Nehemiah Garnett in connection with a homicide that took place in January of last year. According to a social media post by the Columbus Division of Police, Garnett was apprehended last Friday for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of 40-year-old Juan Pablo Aleman.

Details from the incident indicate that officers responded to a call on the 500 block of Riverview Dr. on January 9, 2023, after reports of a shooting surfaced. Aleman was found shot and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. This case has slowly begun to unravel over the past two years, with two other individuals, Amira Reed and Stephanie Moore, having also been arrested to face murder charges related to this case. Reed was arrested on June 27, 2024, while Moore turned herself in on July 10.

With Garnett's arrest, the Columbus police are moving forward in investigating this case, which has remained in the public interest since the incident occurred. The public's attention has remained firmly fixed on the developments, and now, the judicial process can take its course with all three suspects in custody. It should be noted, however, that all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
