
Three suspects are in custody following an armed robbery in Northeast D.C., as the Metropolitan Police Department swiftly apprehended individuals accused of stealing a scooter at gunpoint.
According to an official release from the MPD, the incident occurred on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, when at approximately 8:10 p.m., the suspected trio, on the 4900 block of Jay Street, Northeast, threatened the victim with firearms, forcing the surrender of their property.
The subsequent response by law enforcement led to the rapid recovery of the victim's stolen items, including the pilfered scooter, not far from where the crime was staged; the alleged perpetrators were quickly apprehended based on descriptions provided by the victim and possibly onlookers. Identified as 18-year-old Kasone Pimble and 19-year-old Mark Hudgens, both from Northeast, D.C., they face charges of Armed Robbery. 22-year-old Daymonte Jones, also from Northeast, D.C., now wrestles with additional charges of Carrying a Pistol without a License and Receiving Stolen Property.
