
The National STEM Festival will take place in the nation’s capital on Saturday, causing significant traffic adjustments. The Metropolitan Police Department has issued a traffic advisory, warning motorists of road closures and parking restrictions in the affected areas from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
According to the advisory, I Street NW will be closed to vehicular traffic between 18th and 19th Streets NW. Additionally, Emergency No Parking signs will be in place to prevent unauthorized parking in the vicinity.
Authorities have also urged drivers to exercise caution when traveling near the festival grounds, as an increased volume of pedestrian traffic is expected. The Metropolitan Police Department and the D.C. Department of Transportation have emphasized the importance of vigilance to ensure the safety of attendees and pedestrians.
