Houston authorities are currently piecing together the circumstances of a deadly vehicular incident that transpired over the weekend. According to the Houston Police Department's statement, the collision occurred at around 3 p.m. on Saturday at 5901 North Sam Houston Parkway East. The accident resulted in the tragic loss of a 34-year-old man, whose name has been withheld until family can be notified.
The preliminary report by the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant V. Vo and Officer D. Jones indicates a white Dodge Ram pickup was traveling westbound on Beltway 8 when it collided with a gray Jeep Gladiator moving northbound on Lee Road. Subsequently, the Dodge was seen to have spun out before impacting a green Ford F250 and a gray Chevrolet Malibu, both of which were stationary at a traffic light. Tragically, the driver of the Jeep was declared deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. In addition, two children, aged 10, who were also in the Jeep, have been hospitalized along with the drivers of the Dodge and Chevrolet.
