Travis Stadheim, 45, a man with a slew of outstanding felony warrants from South Dakota, was detained this afternoon in the Town of Lyons, Boulder County. The arrest, executed by the United States Marshals Service, took place in the 200 block of Main Street at about 3:00 p.m. Stadheim is now being processed at the Boulder County Jail, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. During the operation, a nearby school was placed on secure status and traffic on Highway 36 came to a brief standstill, all in the name of safety.
The Colorado Violent Offender Task Force, a coalition which includes Deputy U.S. Marshals and Special Deputy U.S. Marshals from myriad Colorado law enforcement agencies, led the operation. Agencies such as the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation were part of this collective effort. The Task Force's mission is clear, to locate and apprehend wanted felons across Colorado and beyond.
