According to a report from the Vallejo Police Department (VPD), the accident occurred around 1:15 a.m., when a silver Volkswagen Golf was found overturned in the roadway.

Upon the arrival of Vallejo Police and Fire Departments, responders found the driver already out of the vehicle, while they worked to extricate two passengers who were unresponsive. As per the VPD, emergency personnel provided immediate medical aid, but both passengers were pronounced dead at the scene by Vallejo Fire Department paramedics, their identities pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.

The driver, having survived the wreck, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. An ongoing DUI investigation is in progress, with preliminary findings pointing towards the impairment from alcohol and drugs as potential contributing factors of the collision.
