Yesterday, a shooting in Downtown Boston left two individuals with non-life-threatening injuries. Boston Police responded to Kingston Street, where the incident took place, and later arrested two suspects on charges connected to the shooting. According to the Boston Police Department, officers found ballistic evidence inside a nearby business and used security footage to identify a fleeing vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that an officer tracked the suspects' car to Edinboro Street, where one of the suspects appeared to discard an object later identified as a Glock 19 with its serial number defaced. The Massachusetts State Police intercepted the suspects on Route 24 South in Fall River, stopping the vehicle and arresting the occupants. The suspects, Eliezer Quinones of Brattleboro, Vermont, and Jahleel Sanders-Williams of Lynn, face several charges including Armed Assault with Intent to Murder. The vehicle was secured by the police, pending a search warrant.
The Boston Police Department states that these arrests took place approximately four hours after the initial response. The suspects are expected to be arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court with Quinones and Sanders-Williams facing serious charges such as Aggravated Assault and Battery, as well as firearms-related offenses. Specifically, Sanders-Williams is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Offense, and Defacement of a Firearm Serial Number.
