Two teenagers are recovering after a shooting incident at a Clearwater apartment complex over the weekend. According to FOX 13 News, the two girls were wounded while spending time at the complex's pool on Saturday evening, prompting an ongoing search for the suspected shooter by local police.
The Clearwater authorities were called to the scene around 9:45 p.m. after receiving numerous 911 calls reporting gunshots. One of the victims, an 18-year-old female, was found with gunshot injuries and urgently transported to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg with non-life threatening wounds, ABC Action News reported. The second teen’s condition and the severity of her injuries have not been disclosed as of now. The Clearwater Police Department has yet to publicly identify any suspects or motives behind this violent occurrence.
According to WFLA, detectives say the shooting erupted after a dispute amongst a large group of juveniles and young adults at the apartment pool area.
