Community members in Union County are being called upon to assist the local sheriff's office in the search for a missing elderly man. According to a post by the Union County Sheriff’s Office, 78-year-old Robert Joel Bradley has been reported missing since earlier this afternoon. Bradley, who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease, was last seen leaving his home in a silver Nissan Frontier truck, license plate NC RBE-2829, and did not inform anyone of where he was headed in contravention of his doctor's explicit advice against driving.
Authorities have pinpointed the last known location of Mr. Bradley’s vehicle on Idlewild Rd. near Stevens Mill Rd. at 3:35 PM his truck is identifiable by a "First Baptist Church of Indian Trail" sticker on the back, and he is described as wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, and gray and white tennis shoes, as of the time he was last seen, the UCSO pleads for anyone with information to urgently get in touch by calling 911 or their Main Office at 704-283-3789 and tips can also be submitted through their smartphone app.
