Upper Arlington Police Division is stepping up again to host the 2025 Safety Town, a summer preschool program aimed squarely at instilling awareness and preparedness in our little ones. Designed for youngsters about to embark on their educational journey, Safety Town is open to children entering kindergarten or first grade, eligible provided that they are five years of age before September 30, 2022. They'll have the opportunity to tricycle through a miniature village—complete with all the trappings of a small town—to grasp pedestrian and traffic rules firmly. Moreover, they're primed to handle emergencies safely and educated on everyday safety topics, from fire prevention to animal encounters.
As per tradition, the program will take place at Greensview Elementary School, with sessions draped across the warmth of the summer months. Eight sessions are on offer, with either a 9 am-noon or a 1-4 pm slot, catering to families' varying schedules. The dates are June 9-13, June 23-27, July 7-11, and July 14-18.
