The search is underway for Aish Dhanjah, a 50-year-old Detroit man missing since Wednesday, March 12; he was last seen near Robson and Elmira streets in Detroit's west side. Standing at 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, Dhanjah's disappearance raises concerns due to his schizophrenia and diabetes, conditions requiring regular and careful management, as reported by ClickOnDetroit.
The police and his caretaker stress the urgency of finding Dhanjah, who left for a gas station but never returned home. Due to his condition, he is especially vulnerable and needs medication and support. The last sighting of him was in an area now being focused on by the Detroit Police Department in their search.
Both the Detroit Police Department's Missing Persons Facebook page and ClickOnDetroit call for the public's assistance in locating Dhanjah. Any information that could lead to his safe return should be promptly reported to Detroit's 2nd Precinct at (313) 596-5240, or in immediate, exigent circumstances, dialing 911 would be appropriate.
