Los Angeles is in the throes of a search for four suspects after a brutal attack and a high-speed chase involving a yellow Lamborghini and a black BMW. The violent incident unfolded at the Hubci Smoke Shop on Melrose Avenue in the Fairfax neighborhood, where two victims believed they were meeting to film a music video, as reported by KTLA. They were instead assaulted by a group of eight men—some of whom were initially hired as security guards—and robbed of jewelry and two firearms.
The assault was severe, with one victim losing several teeth and the other suffering from a head laceration, according to details provided by KTLA. The suspects evaded immediate capture by splitting into two vehicles.
Two of the assailants involved in Thursday's violent robbery were taken into custody after authorities tracked down the Lamborghini in the San Fernando Valley and initiated a chase. "The pursuit lasted about 40 minutes before it was handed off to California Highway Patrol officers in Ventura," ABC7 stated. These pursuits required collaborative efforts between the LAPD and Ventura County sheriff's deputies, culminating in the arrests in Santa Rosa Valley. Notably, one of the suspects is believed to be the Chicago rapper known as Lil Zay Osama.
No additional details were available regarding the black BMW or the four suspects, who are still at large, as per KTLA.
