
Marquita Holloman, a 36-year-old Washington D.C. resident, pleaded guilty to an aggravated assault in connection with a 2023 stabbing incident that resulted in serious injuries, including one victim who lost an eye. The U.S. Attorney's Office reported the plea was recently entered.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, a dispute on the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, S.E., on September 13 resulted in a stabbing incident. During the altercation, Holloman retrieved a knife, stabbed the victim's daughter in the neck, and then attacked the victim, causing multiple stab wounds to her face and head. Both were hospitalized for their injuries.
Holloman was arrested on January 8, 2024, after Metropolitan Police Department detectives identified him using surveillance footage from Savoy Elementary School in connection with a violent incident. Assistant U.S. Attorney Ella Gladman is prosecuting the case, with sentencing scheduled for May 13, as stated by the U.S. Attorney's Office.
