Justin Fena from Waukesha, Wisconsin, is facing a slew of charges following a high-speed chase that ended in his arrest on March 4. The chase, initiated by Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Office deputies, came to a jarring halt when Fena's vehicle crashed into the back of a milk tanker at the intersection of State Highway 175 and County Highway F, as WISN reported.
The aftermath of the incident revealed an alarming cache of narcotics and firearms in Fena's possession. Deputies discovered methamphetamine, cocaine, LSD, THC, ketamine, ecstasy, ammunition, and a total of five firearms, including two AK-47s, according to the Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Office. Reflecting the gravity of the situation, Fena's charges include five counts of recklessly endangering safety, possession with intent to deliver numerous drugs, fleeing from law enforcement, causing injury while operating under the influence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A $100,000 cash bond was set, and Fena remains behind bars at the Fond du Lac County Jail, as per details from WeAreGreenBay.com.
Deputies were praised for catching Fena, with the sheriff's office noting that his actions put many drivers at risk. "Illegal drugs, firearms, and impaired driving recklessly endangered countless motorists during his attempt to elude law enforcement and could have resulted in significant tragedy," the Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Office said. The office also stated that further investigation into the seized drugs and weapons could lead to more charges, asreported by WISN.
Amid the investigation, the sheriff's department also paid homage to the steadiness and service of K-9 Iro, who, after suffering injuries in a 2023 shootout, returned to duty and contributed to the detection of the illicit materials in Fena's vehicle. Fena's initial court appearance solidified his cash bond of $100,000, marking just the outset of judicial proceedings for the 25-year-old, as obtained by FOX6 News.
