The Waukesha community is grappling with a chilling investigation as the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office probes into an unsettling scene at a local family's home. Two individuals were found dead on Friday inside a home on Cedar Hill Dr., as per a sheriff's office check originated upon request around 10 a.m. that same day, WISN reported. Other family members remain eerily missing, further adding to the unfolding mystery.

Judith, a relative of the deceased, shared with reporters her disbelief and confusion over the absence of her son and his family. "I thought they were angry with me," she recounted, expressing her initial ignorance of the gravity of the situation. It wasn't until a school staffer inquired about the absenteeism of her step-grandson that she began to suspect something was gravely amiss. Judith worked alongside the school to contact local authorities. "I gave them all the codes to house, and it went from there," she explained to TMJ4 News.

The Sheriff's Department has confirmed that a person of interest is currently in custody on unrelated charges, while the investigation is still actively underway. Neighbors describe the missing family as polite yet very private, with a neighbor, Vonckx, recounting it had been weeks since she had last seen them. She initially assumed they were on vacation, but police activity and the sight of yellow tape around the property quickly hinted at a more sinister reality. "Very scary and crazy," Vonckx said of the investigation to TMJ4 News.

As the community and family to struggle to piece together what could have happened, Judith is holding onto the support she has received. She expressed her gratitude for her church's support and the proximity of her other children, while waiting for answers that may come with an autopsy scheduled for Monday. "We don’t understand and we’re waiting for more information," Judith conveyed her sentiments, sharing her upheaval with TMJ4 News.
