A tragic sequence of events unfolded on Dale Mabry Highway in Hillsborough County, Florida, when a woman was struck and killed by multiple vehicles while attempting to cross the road. The incident occurred last Saturday night around 8:15 p.m., involving six cars, including a Lexus SUV driven by an 83-year-old Land O Lakes woman. According to ABC Action News, the unidentified woman stepped into the path of the northbound Lexus just north of Sunlake Boulevard and was hit.

The initial collision was only the start of a horrific chain of events. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the pedestrian was subsequently run over by five other vehicles, resulting in fatal injuries. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. As detailed by WESH, all the drivers involved in the incident remained at the scene following the crash.
