A woman was hospitalized in critical condition following a shooting in Pittsburgh's Middle Hill neighborhood on Saturday morning. CBS News Pittsburgh reported that the incident occurred before 10 a.m. near Centre Avenue, where the Pittsburgh Police found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Identified as the authorities apprehended Lina Scott, 32, the alleged shooter, at the scene. According to TribLive, responding to a ShotSpotter alert, police arrived shortly before 9:45 a.m. to discover the victim outside an apartment building, critically wounded.
After her detention and questioning at the Pittsburgh Police headquarters, Scott now faces multiple charges, as stated by WTAE. These charges include attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person, which led to her incarceration at the Allegheny County Jail.
