Last Thursday, Worcester, MA, saw a major drug bust when Vice Squad officers, with help from Leicester Police and the WPD Emergency Operations unit, raided a Leicester home. The raid led to the arrest of John Bradley, born March 22, 1978, who was wanted for multiple drug trafficking offenses.
When officers entered the home, they found Bradley leaving a bedroom and arrested him for his outstanding warrants. As they gathered new evidence at the scene, the situation escalated, and they obtained a search warrant for narcotics and related paraphernalia, suggesting a larger operation was being run from the otherwise ordinary house. According to the Worcester Police Department's social media announcement, the ensuing investigation was thorough.
Worcester Vice Squad and Leicester Police Detectives discovered approximately 500 grams of cocaine, among other items indicative of a serious drug trafficking operation. These included drug packaging and processing materials, a loaded firearm, additional ammunition, and two large capacity "drum style" magazines. Remarkably, all these were retrieved from the same room that Bradley had been seen exiting during the initial officer entry.
Following the bust, Bradley now faces not only charges from his previous warrants but also new charges related to drug trafficking and firearms offenses. Worcester Police highlighted the large amount of narcotics and dangerous weapons recovered.
