
The Metropolitan Police Department has reported an arrest in connection to a robbery that took place in the Northwest quadrant of D.C. The incident, occurring on the afternoon of March 21, involved two suspects who confronted and subsequently robbed a group on the 1400 block of Irving Street, making off with a pair of headphones.
A 13-year-old boy has emerged from the shadow of anonymity, choosing to step into the light at the Sixth District police station. Turning himself in on April 14, he is, currently being held on charges of Robbery (Snatch). According to a press release from MPD, the juvenile's surrender led to his arrest under a D.C. Superior Court custody order.
While one half of the perpetrating party is now under police custody, the second suspect remains at large, leaving this case in the clutch of an ongoing investigation. MPD urges anyone with information to come forward, insisting on observer distance and non-engagement, citing safety and procedural integrity.
