A 14-year-old boy has been charged with felony vehicular hijacking and robbery in Chicago, authorities reported. The alleged incident, which led to the charges, took place on February 28, when a 43-year-old woman was forcefully deprived of her vehicle and personal belongings.
According to the Chicago Police Department's news release, the juvenile offender was apprehended on April 7 in the 1100 block of S. Hamilton. Charged on April 8, he is suspected to have conducted the robbery in the 6800 block of S. Ada within the 7th District, as the police meticulously identified him.
The investigation that resulted in the arrest was coordinated by Area One detectives. While no further details have been shared by the Chicago Police concerning the juvenile's identity or the specifics of the case, it was noted that he was charged with one felony count each of vehicular hijacking and robbery.
