A teenage boy, just 15 years old, stands accused of a grievous act of violence following his arrest this past Wednesday. The Chicago Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended the juvenile in the 4900 block of S. Kolin Ave. He was identified as the suspect behind the shooting of an 18-year-old male earlier this year in the same district.
The incident, originally occurring in the 4900 block of S. Kilbourn Ave., involved the juvenile allegedly discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, an act which resulted in the adolescent victim's injury, as per the CPD.
The charges against the juvenile include one count of aggravated battery with a discharge of a firearm and three counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm toward an occupied vehicle, along with an additional felony charge for criminal damage to property less than $500, as detailed by the CPD.
