
The Metropolitan Police Department has taken a 15-year-old male into custody in connection with a shooting that left a teenager wounded in Northwest Washington, D.C. The incident, which unfolded on the night of March 29, prompted a swift response from local law enforcement and emergency services.
According to a statement released by the MPD, officers were dispatched at approximately 10:13 p.m. to the scene at the 1200 block of 7th Street, NW, where they found the male victim suffering from a gunshot injury. Conscious yet in serious condition, the teen was rushed to an area hospital. In a turn of events yesterday, the MPD announced the arrest of the adolescent suspect, who now faces charges of Assault With Intent To Kill (Gun). This arrest followed a custody order from the DC Superior Court.
