A fatal shooting occurred in Stockton last Saturday afternoon, leaving a 23-year-old man dead, according to the Stockton Police Department. Responding to reports just after 2:30 p.m., officers arrived at the 4500 block of North El Dorado Street.

ABC10 reported that upon arrival, police discovered the young man who suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Following the incident, he was rushed to a nearby hospital where his injuries, being too severe, led to his untimely death.

While the victim's identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin, homicide detectives have taken charge of the investigation into the shooting.
