A house fire in Lake County left an adult and a child injured last night, according to local fire officials. Both victims were airlifted to a hospital for medical care, reported Click Orlando. The condition of the individuals has not been disclosed.
While the flames consumed the home, resulting in total property loss, three others were present during the incident and were evacuated safely, the Lake County Fire Rescue indicated. Recovering from smoke inhalation, the two were taken by helicopter and were given immediate care, as stated by WFTV.
The incident occurred in Fruitland Park, and the Leesburg Fire Department assisted at the scene. Details regarding the cause of the fire remain unknown, as authorities are still investigating.
