AT&T Stadium in Arlington is set to host the inaugural Lone Star Smokeout, a new festival branching off from the established Windy City Smokeout in Chicago. Running from May 2 through May 4, this three-day celebration of country music and barbecue is a result of a collaboration between the event organizers of Windy City Smokeout and Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants. Arlington's news release details the festival's plans to deliver an ACM award-winning experience, featuring top country music performers and respected BBQ teams.

Music lovers and BBQ enthusiasts will have the chance to see artists like Cody Jinks, the Randy Rogers Band, and Jon Pardi, among others, entertain the crowd. To seriously complement the tunes, visitors will also get to taste offerings from 10 of the nation's prime BBQ teams. Ticket prices are to start at $73 for single-day entry and go up to $186 for the complete three-day package. And it's not just about the experience—festival proceeds are to help support both ACM Lifting Lives and the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation.

The Windy City Smokeout, a previous Festival of the Year winner and nominee, has a reputation for merging top-tier country music performances with a notable selection of craft beers and BBQ. Expectations are high that the Lone Star Smokeout will bring a similar level of excellence to Arlington. The event already has a considerable following, with more than 90,000 attendees annually gathering in Chicago since its humble beginnings in a small parking lot back in 2013.

R.J. Melman, President of Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, has expressed his enthusiasm for the festival's growth, saying, "We never could have imagined that a decade later, the Smokeout would have the opportunity to expand. To be able to produce the first-ever Lone Star Smokeout at AT&T Stadium with the Dallas Cowboys organization is an incredible opportunity, as many of the BBQ teams and artists come from the great state of Texas." According to a statement, R.J. Melman told Arlington's press release, they look forward to bringing this renowned festival experience to the Arlington community and its surroundings.
