Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis has confirmed the sentencing of 37-year-old Cody Wayne McCollom to 60 years in prison, following his conviction for the sexual assault of a child. McCollom, identified as a member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, has been held accountable for the repeated rape of a 14-year-old girl, as reported by the Collin County District Attorney's office.

The jury heard how, after his parole in the spring of 2022, McCollom preyed upon a young victim, providing her with illegal drugs and initiating a series of sexual assaults across several cities, including Anna, Princeton, McKinney, and Melissa. A forensic interview with the victim at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County and the ensuing investigation by law enforcement officials provided the evidence necessary for McCollom's prosecution.

Cross-jurisdictional collaboration between detectives Toni Wright and Jonathan Glidden of McKinney Police, Tyler Bradford of Princeton Police, and Alexis Diaz of Anna Police was instrumental in building the case against McCollom. During the trial, it was brought to light that the defendant had continued his active involvement with the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, which contributed to the severity of his sentence.

"McCollom groomed and drugged a vulnerable 14-year-old, then raped her again and again across our county,," DA Greg Willis said in a statement obtained by the Collin County DA's office. With a history of felony convictions, McCollom was ineligible for parole and faced 25 years to life behind bars. The jury's decision for a 60-year sentence ensures that, according to Willis, "He will never hurt another child again."

The case, presided over by Judge Tom Nowak, was prosecuted by Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Abbie Adkins and Charles Brazell, with support from DA Investigator Kim Voigt Eanes, Victim Assistance Coordinator Melissa White, and Legal Secretary Christy Ware.
