The Austin Police Department is on the lookout for several individuals linked to a robbery at Mi Pueblito on Research Boulevard, as per a report from the APD Robbery Unit. The incident, which involved the threat of deadly weapons, took place on the night of April 9.
During the aggravated robbery at 8237 Research Blvd SVRD WB, multiple suspects reportedly brandished firearms, subduing victims and coercing one to empty the cash register under gunpoint. Descriptions of the suspects and a damaged Nissan getaway vehicle have been circulated by APD in hopes that the public can aid in their apprehension. The suspects, said to be Hispanic males, were clad in a mix of work attire, casual wear, and sports paraphernalia.
Authorities have released specific details about the suspects' appearances. As made known in a statement, the first suspect has a heavy build and wore a gray hoodie, a black face covering, and blue jeans. The second suspect donned a similar gray hoodie, but with distinctive black and yellow gloves, while the third was noted for his orange and gray University of Texas baseball hat. Additionally, the suspects' vehicle was identified as a dark-colored Nissan with a noticeable collision on the front-right bumper and no front license plates.
A potential lead emerged on April 13 when a person was captured on surveillance at a Parkfield store, making purchases and then leaving in the vehicle matching the description of the suspects' car. APD seeks any information that could lead to an arrest, with the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program offering a potential reward of up to $1,000.
