Baltimore police are investigating a shooting that unfolded on the 100 block of South Fulton Street late yesterday afternoon, officers were on patrol nearby when they heard gunfire at around 5:39 p.m., and subsequently observed an unidentified male chasing down another man who had just been shot, as per a statement released by the Baltimore Police Department.
The victim, a 35-year-old male, was promptly transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. At the same time, law enforcement gave chase. The suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle, which the officers relayed to other units, contributing to a swift interception where the suspect bailed out at the 800 block of Boyd Street.
Two male suspects were apprehended shortly thereafter, and a weapon was recovered at the scene — the Southwest District Shooting detectives have taken charge of what remains an ongoing investigation.
