Debbie Deleon, the Neighborhood Connections Division Manager, pointed out the educational benefits of the program, "This program is a fantastic opportunity for residents to learn how our departments serve the public and manage resources," Deleon told the Manatee County's news publication. The academy comes at no cost to participants, but space is limited to around 30 residents, with registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
