Broward County is grappling with the aftermath of two violent incidents, each leaving a family mourning and a community searching for answers. In one case, a man witnessed the harrowing murder of his brother in Pompano Beach at a local smoke shop. The second incident involved a man, Ke'tavious Walker, who was found injured at a home and later died in hospital after succumbing to his injuries.

On March 30, according to Local 10 News, Hussein Abdelazis experienced the unimaginable when his younger brother, Sayf Abdelaziz, was shot in the back of the head by an unidentified assailant while they were closing up the Fire Up Smoke Shop. "My brother didn’t even see it coming. He got shot in the back of the head," Hussein Abdelazis revealed in an interview with the news outlet.

The suspect, described as having big eyes and standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, was reportedly wearing a black hoodie, a black ski mask, and black gloves at the time of the attack. The Broward County Sheriff's Office has surveillance video of the incident, and with a $60,000 reward offered for information leading to an arrest, they continue to urge anyone with knowledge of the case to come forward.

Meanwhile, Broward Crime Stoppers shared a plea via Instagram, seeking information on the case involving Ke’tavious Walker. Walker was found at a residence on the 700 block of N.W. 6th Street; the severity of his injuries led to his death after he was taken to the hospital. A reward of $10,000 has been offered to those who can provide information that will lead to the apprehension of those involved in his untimely demise.

"I want justice," said Mohammad Abdelazis, the grieving father of Sayf Abdelaziz, in a statement obtained by Local 10 News. Broward Crime Stoppers encourages community members to speak up if they have information, assuring them they can remain anonymous. As violence continues to affect Broward County, efforts are ongoing to gather the missing pieces needed to solve these cases.
