
The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is delving into the depths of a potential homicide after a man was found dead in a Crystal River residence last Friday. According to a social media post from the agency, the call was received at approximately 10:45 A.M on Friday, and the deceased has been identified as 67-year-old Kyle D Pazian.
First responders from both CCSO and Citrus County Fire Rescue responded to the Cherrywood Ct location, where Pazian was pronounced dead. "Due to the nature of the incident, detectives and crime scene specialists with the CCSO Criminal Investigations Division (CID) responded to the residence as well," the Citrus County Sheriff's Office stated. The initial findings point to a suspicious death, prompting authorities to investigate the case as a homicide. Several people of interest are currently being interviewed by detectives.
Concerns about public safety in the aftermath of such incidents are common, but the Citrus County Sheriff's Office has indicated that, as for now, there appears to be no ongoing threat to the community. Sheriff Vincent assured residents that the situation seems to be isolated. He also made a call to the public for assistance: “Our Detectives are working diligently to provide answers to the Pazian family,” said Sheriff Vincent. “This does appear to be an isolated incident, and I would encourage anyone who has information related to this case to contact our Major Crimes section.”
As the investigation continues, the Sheriff's Office has announced that an increased police presence in the area can be expected.
