An 11-year-old girl was hospitalized after being physically assaulted outside Clairton Elementary School in Clairton, Pennsylvania. According to police, the child was beaten and dragged by an adult woman identified as Jasmine Snow. This violent episode occurred last Tuesday and was recorded by the school's surveillance cameras, WTAE reported.
William Spencer, the victim's father, has expressed his dismay over the incident, emphasizing his previous attempts to address his daughter's ongoing conflict with a seven-year-old boy who is Snow's son. Spencer said he had proactively contacted the school's principal to mediate the situation without success. In a statement cited by WPXI, he detailed the failed attempts: "I even asked her like, can we please set up a meeting with the parents to be civil about it before anything escalated and that failed."
The assault, which resulted in the girl needing a concussion specialist, occurred when Snow reportedly exited her SUV and physically attacked the 11-year-old on school grounds. Spencer described the severity of his daughter's injuries to WPXI, saying that his child had been punched multiple times, kicked, and stomped on the ground. Snow is facing charges of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
Following the attack, the Clairton City School District expressed its inability to comment on the ongoing police investigation.
