
An 18-year-old Cleveland man named Ricky Dionte Walker died early last Saturday after sustaining a gunshot wound and crashing into a utility pole, as reported by several local news outlets.
The FOX8 News release states that the Cleveland Division of Police responded to a shots-fired call around 1:40 a.m. near East 30th Street and Euclid Avenue, which was followed by a report of the crash at East 55th Street and Cedar Avenue the Cleveland police noted that the victim was found inside the crashed vehicle with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead by EMS at the scene leading investigators to believe that a prior verbal altercation could have escalated to the violent encounter.
Cleveland19 News further clarified that the tragedy took place in the Central neighborhood of Cleveland, confirming Walker's identity per the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.
