
Detectives are urgently seeking the public's assistance after tragedy struck the 1300 block of Fountain Ln. on Monday. The Columbus Division of Police responded to a call of a shooting at approximately 4:08 a.m., where they discovered an individual in the throes of an acute gunshot wound.
The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital but, despite the best efforts to save their life, was pronounced dead by 4:38 a.m. Now, in the wake of this tragic event, detectives are turning to any possible source of evidence to piece together the circumstances of this homicide. They are specifically requesting that residents come forward with video evidence of suspicious activity on Fountain Ln. vicinity around the time of the incident.
As part of their appeal, the Columbus Police social media post includes a map highlighting the affected area and has provided a QR code to facilitate the secure submission of video footage to detectives.
