Brian Schultz, a kindergarten teacher at Snyder Elementary School, faces charges for online solicitation of a minor, officials confirmed this week. According to a report from Click2Houston, Schultz was taken into custody on Tuesday evening at an address that seemingly corresponds to a grocery store parking lot located about two miles from the school.

As detailed by abc13, Schultz, 39, who began his employment at Conroe ISD in August 2021. He has had his bond set at $30,000. The school district has communicated to parents that steps are being taken to terminate his employment, in the wake of these serious allegations. PPrincipal Crystal Poncho informed parents that kindergarten teacher Brian Schultz was arrested by the Precinct 3 Constable's Office and charged with online solicitation of a minor. She clarified that the arrest was not connected to Snyder Elementary.

It is still unclear whether the accused, Brian Schultz, was communicating with an actual minor or an undercover officer during the incident. As the investigation continues, some parents, including Nicole Cahill, whose child is in Schultz’s class, shared their concerns and surprise with Click2Houston. "We have small children that are in his hands every day. And it just it makes you wonder as a parent, is there more to the story," Cahill said in the same report. The Texas Education Agency has also opened an investigation. Schultz, a licensed educator in Texas since 2012, has had his profile removed from the Snyder Elementary website.  Schultz previously worked as a preschool director at Abiding Word Lutheran Church in north Houston
