
An Ohio police academy recruit stands accused of engaging in inappropriate online communications with a minor based in Putnam County, Tennessee, as per the reports from the local sheriff's office. WKRN details that the Putnam County Sheriff's Office initiated an investigation on February 25 after reports surfaced involving Christopher Noe, a 29-year-old enrollee at the Dayton Police Academy, and his communication with a juvenile over Snapchat.
Following the investigation, which evidently revealed Noe's knowing participation in these inappropriate exchanges, an arrest warrant was issued. Taken into custody a day after the investigation began, on Feb. 26, the Dayton law enforcement apprehended Noe in their jurisdiction, outlined by 3B Media News. Over a month later, he was charged yesterday and now faces faces allegations that could have significant consequences.
Noe's charges include solicitation of a minor by an authority figure and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor by an authority figure. After being extradited to Tennessee, Noe was booked into Putnam County Jail. Reflecting the gravity of these charges, his bond has been set at $225,000, and his court date is scheduled for May 19, as reported by WSMV.
