Described as a 36-year-old Hispanic male, standing at 4 feet 2 inches, and weighing 100 pounds, Cardenas has brown eyes and black hair. The plea for the community's assistance was issued with both a description of the suspect and an invitation for those with information to come forward.
According to the Denver Police Department on FB post, the incident took place at approximately 6:13 PM on the aforementioned date. Addressing the public, law enforcement officials have stressed that anyone with details about Cardenas' whereabouts can communicate tips anonymously. Denver Crime Stoppers is managing the intake of information, and potential informants are encouraged to call 720-913-STOP (7867) or to submit tips online. A cash reward is being offered, sweetening the pot for those hesitant to step forward.
The Department's message to the suspect was clear and direct, stating, "If you turn yourself in, we will expire this post upon confirmation of your booking," as obtained by the Denver Police Department.
