
In a recent crackdown on illicit activities within a Detroit senior citizen apartment building, authorities have arrested 10 individuals and confiscated a significant amount of drugs, cash, and firearms. According to CBS News Detroit, the raid, which took place earlier this month, came after a series of fatal overdoses in the vicinity of Jefferson and East Grand Boulevard earlier in January prompted a full-blown investigation by Detroit police.
FOX 2 Detroit detailed the seizure of approximately 20.6 grams of fentanyl and 29.6 grams of cocaine, alongside three guns and $3,616 in cash. The drugs are estimated to have a street value of $4,428. In the operation heading the arrests, Detroit police executed a search warrant, which resulted in six felony arrests and four misdemeanors. As reported by the police, the ages and residential status of those arrested in the senior building have not been confirmed.
ClickOnDetroit reported that ten people were arrested, including four on felony charges and six on misdemeanor charges.
