Fort Worth’s municipal team is gaining a seasoned veteran in Dianna Giordano. She's stepping into her new role as assistant city manager after a successful stint helming Human Resources and Civil Service. According to a City of Fort Worth, city Manager Jay Chapa disclosed the promotion during a city council work session yesterday, citing her deep experience and capability to steer the city's growth.
Giordano, who has been with Fort Worth since June 2021, boasts an impressive HR pedigree spanning over two decades. Her expertise covers policy innovation and practical, result-driven strategies. Giordano has worked at various levels of government and municipal-owned utilities, advising on matters from employee relations to performance oversight. Her work is as much about the nuts and bolts as it is about the people behind them.
"It’s been a privilege to work for the City of Fort Worth," Giordano told the city's news release. "I’ve been excited to be here since the first day I walked in. I look forward to serving in this new capacity and continuing to support the City, its residents and employees."
In her upcoming assignment, Giordano will be responsible for an expansive portfolio that includes Human Resources and areas like Information Technology Solutions. Intergovernmental Relations and CMO Administration are a blend that suggests a comprehensive approach to city management. She's slated to start on April 7, and the interim HR director will be named subsequently.
