
In a coordinated effort by the Dorchester and Quincy Police Drug Control Units, two Dorchester residents were arrested yesterday on charges involving drugs and firearms. According to official reports by the Boston Police Department, at approximately 1:21 PM, officers carried out search warrants at locations in Dorchester and Quincy which led to the discovery of a firearm, ammunition, and narcotics.
Frances Jean-Felix, 32, and Jason Holley, 32, both from Dorchester, now face firearm and drug-related charges stemming from a drug investigation that prompted searches at 15 Mount Ida and 209 Arlington Street, officers recovered not only a Shadow MR920 firearm with ten rounds loaded in the magazine but also nine packets of marijuana alongside a plastic bag of crack cocaine and items used for drug packaging, all of which was detailed in the Boston Police Department's online statement. Arrests came as part of a wider clampdown on drug activity in the area which has seen increased collaboration between local law enforcement agencies.
The recovered Shadow MR920 firearm with a magazine containing ten rounds, marijuana packets, crack cocaine, and drug packaging paraphernalia are all now evidence in the case against Jean-Felix and Holley. Both individuals were promptly arrested and are slated for arraignment in Dorchester District Court, facing various charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition; Jean-Felix is additionally charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D, whereas Holley is charged with additional counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, their predicament serves as another marker in the ongoing struggle against drug-related crimes in the community.
