
A shooting in Downtown Portland has resulted in one fatality. The Portland Police Bureau reported that Central Precinct officers were dispatched on Sunday, following calls about a shooting incident near the crossroads of South Harbor Drive and South Harrison Street.
Upon arrival at approximately 10:20 p.m., they discovered an adult male with gunshot wounds. The injured party was quickly taken to an area hospital to treat his serious injuries. The authorities have confirmed that the assailants fled the scene and remain at large. The incident is now under investigation by the Homicide Unit, as reported by the Portland Police Bureau's news release.
The following day, detectives revealed the grim news that the victim had succumbed to his injuries. Efforts to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators are ongoing, and law enforcement is urging anyone with potentially relevant information to get in touch.
